Caitlin has a keen eye for marketing and can organize a mean happy happy hour. Get to know our Senior Marketing Manager!

Where are you based, Caitlin?

New York City!

How do you get around NYC?

I'm lucky that I live near a whole tangle of subway lines–the 2/3/4/5/N/Q/R and a shuttle are all near my apartment! Beyond that, I've got the LIRR and a few buses near me. This is all great, because I'm pretty sure I'm the only Jawnt team member that doesn't know how to ride a bike (though I am considering getting an escooter through our partners at Unagi!)

How long have you been working for Jawnt?

Six months!

How would you describe what your role is at Jawnt?

I help get the message out that a better world of commuter benefits is possible–so I work with our sales team to help them find prospects, our product team to let clients know about new features, and our customer success team to keep everyone happy.

What is your favorite thing to help Jawnt customers with?

New York City has tap-to-pay on our subways–I love getting to tell Jawnt clients that they can use the Jawnt Pass in their Apple or Google wallet to tap right onto the train!

What do you hope to see in the future of transit & commuting?

Our co-founder Will wrote a really excellent article in the Philadelphia Inquirer about how employers should be paying for their employees' commutes. There are some really amazing companies doing so, but I hope to see this practice become more widespread. It helps employers demonstrate how much they value their employees, it helps central business districts stay in business, and it helps transit agencies regain ridership post-COVID.

What have you been listening to or reading during your commute lately?

I work from home, so I don't have a commute, but in the mornings when I'm getting ready for work I love to listen to either The Blindboy Podcast or Not Another D&D Podcast.

What was your first job?

My first job was working as a cake decorator in a supermarket bakery–yes, I can still write your name on an ice cream cake, and fill 15 mini cannolis in a minute.

What’s your favorite restaurant in the city?

I think Agi's Counter near me is a perfect restaurant/cafe hybrid. On Fridays when I'm walking home from yoga I love to grab a piece of their spanikopita babka.
