Working with Indego to provide bike share benefits in Philadelphia

We’re so excited to publicly launch our partnership with Indego, Philadelphia’s bike share system operated by Bicycle Transit Systems. We’ve been working closely with the Indego team over the past few months to bring bike share as an employee benefit to Philadelphia, and the responses have been overwhelmingly positive.

The way we travel around our cities has radically changed after the pandemic, and Indego fills an important void. Personally, I love using Indego for short trips around town that are too long to walk, for riding an e-bike either on a freezing cold day to get to work quickly or on a very hot day to ease my commute, or for traveling to work on days when I need some fresh air in the morning but I know it’s going to rain later in the day (so I’ll take SEPTA home 🚃)… the possibilities are infinite, and convenient.

Indego has over 180+ stations in Philadelphia and is expanding to 350 as part of a multi-year expansion. I’m partial to the e-bikes, and it seems others in Philly are too - they’ve led to an increase in both number of rides and ride time since they were introduced, reaching 870,000+ rides taken by passholders.

For employers who are looking for new ways to entice employees to get to work and to improve employee NPS scores, we can’t recommend Indego enough.

For employees who need to get to work every day - whether at a retail shop, an office, a hospital, you name it - we bet there’s an Indego stop within blocks of it.  Check out the interactive map of Indego stations to see for yourself. You can also share your recommendations for future Indego locations via their online suggest a station form.

Through the Jawnt unified transit platform, employers have a few options to provide their employees unlimited access to Indego’s fleet of bikes. They can elect to:

  1. provide Indego at no cost to their employees
  2. subsidize a portion of the cost
  3. or simply provide Jawnt’s discounted pricing to their employees.
Please reach out to us here if you or your company is interested in Indego’s exciting bike share offering. Ride on!

And keep your 👀 peeled for Jawnt ads on Indego stations across the city!

Many thanks to the stellar team at Indego (Nate Bowman-Johnston, Estevan Fernandez, Emily Hooven, and co.) who helped make this all happen! We sincerely appreciate Indego’s support of our vision for unified transit. 👏👏👏
