Frequent Questions

Where can I use the Jawnt Pass?

For transit and parking-related expenses, you can use the Jawnt Pass anywhere debit cards are accepted. Tap the Jawnt Pass to enter the subway, buy a ticket at a kiosk in the station, or load your Jawnt Pass onto an Apple or Google Wallet for easy access. Jawnt works with popular parking apps including SpotHero, PayByPhone, meterUP, and Parking Kitty

How is the Jawnt Pass different from my credit card or debit card? What about my HSA or FSA?

You can only use your Jawnt Pass on eligible transit-related and parking-related expenses–like tapping into the subway, a monthly train pass, or paying for parking at your office. It’s similar to your FSA or HSA in that you use pre-tax dollars to pay specific transactions, but an FSA or HSA is for healthcare expenses whereas the Jawnt Pass is used for transit and parking expenses.

Does my balance roll over at the end of the year?

Yes, your balance rolls over at the end of the year. There’s no maximum amount that your card can carry, so your balance can roll over indefinitely. Unlike an FSA or HSA, your contributions are not tied to the calendar year. Employees can change or pause contributions month-to-month. Jawnt actively works with employees to help them find the right level of contribution and spend it.
