Our ability to integrate with nearly any Human Resources Information System (HRIS) allows us to fit comfortably into existing employee data management, payroll, and reporting processes without additional recurring steps.
Welcome to the fourth post in our series exploring how Jawnt’s strong client relationships inform our platform and improve transit benefits. Feedback from current customers helps Jawnt continue building a top-tier commuter benefits platform. (Have feedback for us? Reach out to your account manager!)
Jawnt always strives to increase the value of our employers’ benefit offerings while requiring as little additional effort from their administrators as possible. Our ability to integrate with nearly any Human Resources Information System (HRIS) allows us to fit comfortably into existing employee data management, payroll, and reporting processes without additional recurring steps.
Why would anyone want to integrate with Jawnt?
Jawnt is a third party benefits administrator, meaning we help employers offer pre-tax benefits to their employees. We need to know a few things about these employees to do that:
Jawnt offers a simple process for manually sending us new rosters, which smaller companies prefer. But larger companies prefer to plug in their HR vendors into their existing ecosystem, which is why we support two kinds of HRIS integrations.
Many employers keep information about their employees in multiple places. Perhaps they use one system for timesheets, another for payroll, and X for X. Finch is a middle layer that connects these systems, and ensures they all refer to the latest information about each employee’s status, eligibility, address, and more.
Jawnt is proud to smoothly accept information from Finch. Integrating with Jawnt via Finch ensures that your employee roster and eligibility status are updated daily. If your organization keeps track of its employees through a system like Gusto, X, or X, talk to your account manager about syncing your rosters with Jawnt through Finch.
Another approach to managing multiple HR systems is to link all these systems to a single source of truth. One system produces a roster, stores it securely, and everything else (including Jawnt) refers to it there. In practice, organizations generally keep their roster on a secure network, referred to as a Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) folder.
Jawnt can also integrate with rosters through SFTP. During onboarding, your account manager configures our application to retrieve your roster once a day, at a time of your choosing. If your organization keeps track of its employees through X, your account manager can get you up and running with SFTP.
Regardless of your organization’s approach to HRIS, Jawnt has an integration that will allow your team to focus less on keeping track of lists and more on getting people to ride transit.
